I can't see how we
leave behind someone in need
won't we heed their final plea?
Can't we see their hearts still bleed?
My back won't turn
justice is the final word
this won't be a dream deferred
emerge from the darkness
time to rise

see you and I are one in the same
we feel a need to change
don't want to blame ourselves
for a reckless lifestyle that we're living today
no peace no treaty no conversations
no pride no pity no united nations
don't we got a name to protect?
realize this we got alot on our back
representing truth
how can we survive if it isn't instilled in the youth
steady losing grip of the faith
remove the mask of ignorance and put on a new face
embrace a new change for the better
maybe we can see the day when we all survive together
stand tall, rise up, stand firm, stand up
be proud, unite, look in my eyes and I'll shout it out

I can see the faith and hope in you
the fire in the eyes for the one who cries truth
I can see the pain
I can take the blame
I can see the troubles that we all overcame
now can you see the faith and hope in me
can you feel the fire that is soon to freeze
can you hear the screams
can you feel me breathe
can you see me praying because I'm on my knees
now praying for the day that we all can live
praying for the day that I teach my kids
all the right and wrong
I got to stay strong

I don't want to see no pain anymore in the eyes of innocent people
I don't want to witness this injustice, hear no, speak no evil
cause I feel my heart is in my throat
I don't want to see another fall
